We have been learning to add detail. Today we thought about adding an action to our stories.

Autumn

This afternoon we went to collect some leaves for art tomorrow. There were so many different colours, shapes and sizes. We also had fun playing in the huge piles of leaves.

Museum trip

What a wonderful morning P1a/b had at the museum. We had fun in Adventureland and loved exploring Animal Kingdom. The windy walk was fun too!

Numbers outdoors

Last week was outdoor learning week. P1a/b decided to take their numeracy outside. We used resources from the outdoor learning cupboard to create domino and dice patterns.

Dinosaur art

Today we created some fabulous dinosaur inspired art. Some created skeletons using straws and others used chalk, plasticine or drew dinosaurs free hand.

Dinosaurland

Today we travelled back in time to the land of dinosaurs! We found dinosaur bones, eggs, teeth and other artefacts. We had great fun and returned to Sciennes full of excitement.

Welly Wednesday

We had lots of fun in the nature strip today. We explored, balanced and climbed.

Phonics

Today we started learning our sounds! Today was all about a. We learn through play and choose our activities in P1ab.

Welly Wednesday

Last week we went across to the nature strip for our first Welly Wednesday. We had a great time exploring the area. We found lots of insects!

Mindfulness

In P1ab we have started our Mindfulness sessions. Our first session was about using the breath to relax, feel calm and still. We used our Breathing Buddies to help us focus on how our bellies move up and down as we breath.
